Rock the beach in ideal swimsuit

Beach season is just around the corner which means it's time to start thinking about beachwear again! Your swimwear is just as important as any other piece of clothing in your wardrobe. Here are the top swimwear trends for 2013 so if you're find it hard to pick the "ideal swimsuit", just be sure to keep an eye out for the following swimwear trends while choosing your next swimsuit.

a)Retro Swimwear

Retro or pin-up style, 2013 swimwear will have it. High waist bottoms have now become a major swim trend adopted by all designers. Structured bustier tops, nautical prints, ruffle details also evoke elements from the 40's and 50's swimwear designs.

b) Floral

Dainty, in small repetition patterns, or bigger, in vibrant colors, you will be sure to find plenty of flowers this season. The palette is mostly consisted of pinks, reds, oranges and blues.

c) Lingerie- Inspired

For 2013, designers blur the lines between the bedroom and the beach, bringing typical lingerie elements into their swimwear collections. Underwire tops are going to be a must for 2013, multi-straps lend a bondage feel to some swimsuits and plunging necklines in one-piece swimsuits and monokinis are sure to make it for a sexy 2013 swimwear season

d) Ocean- Inspired

The palette is filled with sea greens and deep ocean blues, in prints that have a decidedly underwater feel like a coral reef prints and wipsy watercolor brush strokes.

e) Native/Tribal

Influences such as fringe tops, ethnic inspired graphics in geometric form, feather prints or application and zigzag designs promise to be rather strong in some 2013 collections.

f) Mix-matching prints/colors

Lots of designers invested in reversible styles to allow customers to enjoy a wider variety in mix-matching. We also saw completely different solid colors in tops than those from the bottoms.

Spring/Summer 2013 Hair Trends

Spring has arrived and the S/S hairstyle trends for 2013 have already been announced. If you like to keep your finger on the pulse of fashion, then make sure you work some of the following styles into your future looks.

a) Messy Hair

You may not believe this but messy hair is going to be massive for S/S 2013. Create your bedhead look by using hair straighteners to give your hair an effortless style. Use volumising products to give your hair extra oomph.

b) The Beehive Style

This 60s hairstyle is set to be one of the most popular of the 2013. It can be easily created by backcombing the hair and is absolutely ideal for the workplace.

c) Knotted Bun

This style takes the chigon and makes it even more daring. The hair is literally knotted at the nape of the neck, giving it a messy, grungy look. You can also improvise as much as you want with this hairstyle, adding any accessory you want.

d) Super-Straight Hair

Dig out your straighteners ladies! Super-straight hair is back in vogue. Spotted across many S/S 2013 catwalks from Derek Lam to Lacoste. For this look invest in a good oil that will add shine, while also protecting your hair.

e) Low-Slung Buns

This trend is your new best-friend! The low-slung bun is back with a bang and chicer than ever. Anyone can nail this look. Pull your hair back and secure in a low ponytail and use a comb to smooth any bumps before twisting your ponytail into a bun and secure with a hair-tie. Simple and beautiful.

f) Braids! Braids Everywhere...

Pretty braids are never far from the S/S catwalks but this season is all about creativity. Opt for a twist or a fishtail braid than a traditional plait.

g) Waves

Super-sexy bedhead waves have been spotted in many S/S catwalks from Burberry to Missoni. Just the smallest hint of a wave will add sex appeal. All you have to do is to ditch your hairdryer and let your natural kinks show.

TIP: Use accessories! A strong golden band (or any headband), a pearly accessory or a classic printed headscarf will give you that extra glam you want.

Beauty Tip: Greek Yogurt Mask

This mask will dissolve dirt and nourish your skin. It works as a cleanser while the probiotic "awakes" your skin leaving it with a lovely glow.

What you need:

- cotton balls
- probiotic capsule
- cold, plain Greek yogurt

How to do it

Split open the probiotic capsule and mix it with 3 or 4 tablespoons of yogurt in a small bowl. Using the cotton ball, apply the mixture to your face in an even layer. Let the mask set for ten minutes then rinse with lukewarm water and pat dry with a towel.

Note: if you don't have a probiotic capsule it's ok. Greek yogurt is still very effective.

Fashion Trends In The Workplace

We spend most of our days at work and of course we want to be good looking and not dress like a complete fashion victim. This spring's trends are lace, printed pants and stripes, so today I'll try to figure out how can we match them in the workplace.

Trend #1 Color Blocking
It's very easy to pull off color blocking in the workplace as far as you try to stay in the same color family. A simple dress with colored pumps and a beige bag keeps your 9-5 style interesting. But be careful! Don't try color blocking with neons, bright colors or too many pastels.

Trend #2 Stripes
By wearing striped shorts in the workplace, you may show a little more skin than you should. I love the idea of a striped blazer paired with neutral separetes. And a classic mousseline top would be just perfect.

Trend #3 Printed Pants
I'm having a love affair with floral jeans for spring but jeans in the workplace are an awful choice. Put a professional twist on the trend with a pair of paterned silk pants and a white top and it'll make you look fabulous.

Trend #4 Lace
The office is not the right place for lacey short shorts so avoid this choice. Lace in the form of a blouse or dress is or even a pencil skirt is perfection. You can wear an A-line lace dress, a button-up pencil skirt with your favorite blazer or a blouse and you 're off to work.

Gucci Guilty Black - The new fragrance by Gucci

Creative Director Frida Giannini remarks: “These characters fascinate us as they have taken on a life of their own. We are eager to know about the next chapter in their story as it unfolds through Guilty Black.” The Guilty Black lovers bring out the most thrilling sides of each other: alone they are magnificent, together irrepressible. Fearless in their passion, they are brazen, shameless, unpredictable—ready for each and every explosive encounter. Their attraction is instinctive: they go where they sense danger and each other. Too much is never enough for our young hedonists, who drive each other to live life to the fullest. Again and again, they give in to pleasure and the excitement of breaking the rules. (press release by Gucci)

Gucci Guilty Black pour Femme arrives in a glossy black bottle with glowing red glass, highlighting the bold character. The top notes bring a vibrant and dynamic blend of pink pepper and red fruit, which lead us to a fruity-floral heart woven of raspberries and peaches, enclosed by floral notes of lily and violet. The base supports the composition with its warm and tempting notes of patchouli and amber. The fragrance is available as of 30, 50 and 75 ml EDT, accompanied by a 200 ml body lotion and 200 ml shower gel.

Men's fragrance Gucci Guilty Black pour Homme is designed as a green-fougere. The combination of lacquered black body and dark green glass announces a whiff of mystery. The composition opens with green coriander and aromatic lavender, announcing the green floral heart made of orange blossom, neroli and intense green-aromatic notes. The base brings a potent woody blend of cedar and patchouli. The fragrance is available as 50 and 90 ml EDT, accompanied by 90ml aftershave and shower gel 150 ml.

The new fragrant couple Gucci Guilty Black will be accompanied by a video and print campaign. The promotional video was produced by Frank Miller and filmed at Cinecittà Studios in Italy. The faces of the campaign are femme fatale Evan Rachel Wood and Hollywood action hero Chris Evans.

Spring 2013's Fashion Trends

(Peter Som, Rag & Bone, DKNY)

                                                         Bermuda Shorts
Bid farewell to short shorts have dropped to the knee and we say, I do! The slouchy, cool-girl shorts that were all over the New York runways this season are perfect for every girl. They’re ultra chic, fam-friendly, and flattering; seriously, what’s not to love?

(DKNY, Rag & Bone, Victoria Beckham )

                                                                Sporty Dresses
Among the 10-15 trends for Spring 2013, sporty dresses were named one of the flirtiest pieces this spring. Along with shorts suits, beautiful beading and statement sunglasses, sporty dresses are one of those pieces that can be worn for more than one season.

(Michael Kors, Tory Burch, Helmut Lang)

                                                              Shorts Suits
There is just something inherently charming about a shorts suit. A lesson in contradictions — the right set is chic enough for most offices and but still playful enough for a night out.
They’re purposeful, versatile, and office-appropriate, and we’re betting you’ll be able to find all-star versions of this must-have at every price point come 2013.

(Alexander Wang, Jason Wu, Marc Jacobs)

                                                               Black & White
Out of hundreds of shows and thousands of looks, one trend reigned supreme. Black and white strormed the runways in all cities for Spring 2013.Whether it's 60's mod at Prada and Louis Vuitton or classic dresses and tuxes at Chanel and YSL, this prennial favorite is the biggest new of Spring!

(Anna Sui, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Diane von Furstenberg)

                              Statement Sunglasses
Sunglasses for Spring may not be considered entirely groundbreaking, but this season it's time to cast aside the traditional aviators and think bigger, brighter and bolder. If you're looking for more proof that you need to up your frame game, Spring 2013 had statement sunglasses hitting trend high marks all over the runways. Prada encapsulated the mood of the season with embellished pair of floral glasses and Just Cavalli showed reflective lenses that have become a fan favorite within street style photos.

                                                            (Peter Som, Marc Jacobs)

                                                        Flats & Low Heels
Sexy ’90s pointy heels are back and have been modernized with everything from dainty ankle straps to cylindrical heels. Extra cool points if you wear them with slouchy boyfriend jeans or Bermuda shorts to brunch with the girls.

(Tommy Hilfiger, Michael Kors, Marc Jacobs)

                                                             Bold Stripes
In what might be a sign that New York is finally getting eccentric prints fatigue, a lot of the looks at New York Fashion Week for spring featured pure, saturated color or bold, graphic prints. One print we have been spotting a fair amount of: stripes.
A clean stripe can feel as palette-cleansing as a crisp, white dress, and many designers used vertically-oriented stripes in their dresses and even suited looks to give the spring outfits a preppy flair that also felt more sophisticated than your run-of-the-mill blue-and-white horizontal stripe. Long dresses in a crisp stripe felt especially refreshing, and Oscar de la Renta even used a bold stripe to keep a ball gown from seeming too fussy.

Bring spring in your closet

Spring is the most colourful season of the year. Along with the warmer days what also comes is that floral dress you saw the other day at that local store and you just can't wait to make it yours. We have always been an advocate of creating to-do lists in order to keep life interesting. So, today here is my list for this spring purchases.
  1. Buy gold sequin short pants or skirt
.
I'm dying to have this piece on my wardrobe and match it with a bright-coloured shirt, maybe a coral one...

      2.  Buy royal blue pointed pumps

This is one of my favorite colours and I definately want it on my feet! Just imagine this classy pumps with a pair of byofriend jeans...

   3.  Florals

I am currently craving for some fresh florals! I want floral skirts, floral pants, floral dresses and make it even more fabulous with golden accessories.

    4. Vintage sunglasses

The ultimate accessory which can also protect us from the burning sun is a pair of sunglasses. I already bought this pair of tartaruga sunnies by Vogue but you can also play safe with a pair of Wayfarers by Ray-Ban.

   5. Collars

Collars appeared to be a must-have accessory during winter, so I thought by matching them with my spring tops, I will upgrade my style a little.
